Wheel refresh at city powdercoat Birmingham.

the only problem with these people is wheel drums and the inner lip is usually a really bad finish.... I've seen their work first hand and its a real let down to see how the inner lip is left... it looked to me that the rim is painted on a flat surface and then picked up leaving the bit where its been resting all rough and crap.

This has been reported several times on the 911uk website with comments that the poor finishing of the contact areas could actually be dangerous.

There's a "correct way"?......

However I do confess to ensuring I put them all in the same way.....am I sad?

I have some M wheel stickers on order... is there a correct way for those too?

As below

The Devil has always been in the details !
Once seen, every OCD Forum Member will never be satisfied until every wheel is 'aligned' to "Wilks Spec"
Is there anyone here who doesn't qualify with OCD ?

Cheers Bumpy

There is an even more OCD way too.... put the locking nuts on in line with the badge at the 12 a clock position in the picture,

I'm mega OCD about things like this sad I know

The only thing I'd add here is the finish is never going to be as good as wet spraying. You can see the orange-peel effect, due to how powder coating works. Not for me but appreciate the draw.
