Hi, I have a 2006 E86 Coupe 3.0si.

The original wheel nuts are looking a bit tired! Any recommendations on decent sets and / or sellers.

Thanks.

Febi are OEM I believe. Loads of sets on Ebay, got a full set of 20 for around £25 a few months ago, cheap maintenance

I'm sorry but I can't believe anyone is gullible enough to buy 'specific' wheel bolts at a premium.
THEY ARE ALL THE SAME.
As long as they are the correct diameter, thread pitch, shoulder angle and length, there is no such thing as a 'better' wheel bolt (not for a road car anyway).

Buy the cheapest you can find. They won't make your wheels fall off, I (almost) guarantee. ;)

I'd have said the same six months ago until I bought a spare AliExpress locking wheel bolt key for the E70 (McGuard style.) Went to use it one day (came to hand before the original) and the "pattern" immediately ripped apart wedging a piece in the bolt head.

Took me a huge amount of effort to get the bolt out cleanly without damaging the wheel. I'm not a fan of hyper secure bolts anyway, but it's a reminder that China and metallurgy aren't on the same page unless someone pays them to pay attention. I used to use a lot of "bolts included" bolts while working and they were on the Mohs scale between Chewing Gum and Soap but they just about did the job. Screws went straight in the bin as the heads would rip straight out (and by a non-pozi head.)

Just the other day I was thinking about getting new bolts as they're showing their age but I did start wondering about whether any replacements would a) go scabby quickly (like the knockoff bonnet badges that fade in a few years) or b) lose their corners after a few removals.

Even though they're a low flying Jesus Bolt[1], I don't think they'd fail in their job, but I would worry about them becoming security bolts unintentionally!

[1] Look it up!

I think I bought the exact same set last year, the seller was Simply Car Parts. Recommended.

I bought these for my 6 series as I hate the black bolts with silver wheels..
