Wheel lug nuts

So I have changed my rims to a 19inch set and they are obviously not runflats anymore. I have just realised that the car did not come with the socket to loosen the lug nuts in case of a flat tyre nor did it have the piece to do it with (do you call it a wrench? me no English haha)

Anyone got any ideas what size the socket needs to be and where I can get the wrench piece thingo? :headbang:
 
12 x 1.50 with a 17mm head - BMW will sell you a wrench and portable jack but at a price :)
Suggest a local auto dealer will provide both at a much cheaper price :)

And just for reference, they're not nuts - they're bolts as on most BMWs (even my bike). Gettng the buggers back in can be a pain - especialy on the front where there's no handbrake to lock the wheel - as the holes have to be lined up. It might be an idea to keep a threaded stud and screw it into one of the bolt holes to make lining up easier then remove it when a few wheels bolts are back in.
 
The best place for a wrench and emergency jack is a local car breakers.

Since most older cars have them fitted they are awash with them and last time I purchased it was £10 for the pair of original BMW parts.
