Wheel help

I'm struggling to make sense of the wheel sizing for the z4 (E86) any help would be really appreciated

It's a non-M car on standard suspension (will be lowered at some point)

For the rear I'm thinking 18*9.5 ET35 (with 255/35 tyres)
For the font I'm thinking 18*9 ET31 (235/35 tyres) preferably or 18*8.5 ET35 (225/35 tyres)

Rears should be fine but front et31 9j is too much imo especially with a 235 tyre will most likely catch your arch liner on compression
better with a 8.5j & 215 40 to avoid rubbing

215, are you sure - that's narrower than stock (225/40)

Yea but if you are going wider on wheel itself & lowering offset then you need that little stretch on the corners to avoid rubbing on compression & full lock
I ran a 8,5j et 38 18inch on a 2.5 se roadster , 235 45 18 rubbed but 215 45 18 worked a treat on standard suspension but i suspect you will be lower on a Si Coupe so 215 40 could work ? There is always a element of trial & error when you step away from OEM specs

18x8.5 ET 35 will be fine on the front. Keep standard sized tyre though.

18x9.5 ET 35 on the rears will also be a great fit. Could go to a 265/35/18 here, if you didn't want the slightly stretched tyre look.
