Hi any ideas what I can use to to clean the glue off that is left on by the old weights that are used when balancing your wheels. Had some new tyres fitted and can't budge the stuff....
Cheers

Depends what you have. There are various adhesive / tar removers but the best one I have found is the aerosol adhesive remover from Maplins. Not cheap but effective.

As below depends on type of glue
Autoglym Tar remover
Nail varnish remover
Surgical spirit
usually cover most
and for the unusual super glue solvent

I'd be hoping he removed the wheel to do this, rather than purposely making life difficult lol

Tardis will get rid of it in no time :)

I did this to my two rear wheels last night, I used white spirits and a bit of elbow grease. worked a treat.

I've just started using 'Goo Gone' works really well at removing adhesive residue. I used this recently when removing the residue from old wheel weights on our wheels  Cheapest source is ebay.

ScrewFix also sell an aerosol based solvent cleaner/degreaser which is useful for removing tougher deposits.

As i said - tardis will work best as it will dissolve the bitumen based glue that is on the weights - it will leave it mark free.
