I know I will get various recommendations, but to see who is using what will give me a good idea what to buy.

I removed my 108's today for the first time after 6 months and 8,000 miles. Not easy to get off due to hub corrosion (now greased).

Mating surfaces of the hub and wheel should be clean and free of grease and paint. :wink:

I have only ever used a washmit and normal car shampoo to wash wheels. Used a wheelcleaner once and wasn't pleased with the result of the finish. Mind you I'm just a car cleaner, not a detailer. Functionally clean is my motto!

It's not the mating surface that was greased, just the circumfrence, and just a smear. :wink:

Whoo hoo - I wandered into a place near me that sells car detailing stuff and found one of these on clearance for $13 so I snarfed one up. I decided my car was dirty enough for a quick wash - even in the rain - so I figured I would give it a whirl (literally).

Note to self - use the low speed setting the drill and maybe there will be less suds on my neighbor's tree :smart:

Works quite well and definitely cuts down on the amount of time I typically spend on wheels. :yeah:
