My oem ones were looking at bit tatty and I had a set of Crome McGaurd locking bolts in the garage so bought these to go with them.

My old mans just had all his bolts replaced under warranty on his 2010 1 Series Coupe, because there rusting. OEM can't be that great?

More than likely, probably when you put a socket over them. You could minimise chances by using a hammerite metal paint as its more impact resistant and use a 6 sided socket so there's less play/slip when refitting.
Sure. True OEM quality bolts tested to the correct tensile strength are very expensive. Bolts turned out in high volume from usually Far East workshops and untested, often mis marked and sold to a price.
I'm sure they are fine on a city car, but would not want to them on an ///M and op did specify he wanted quality
