What's your thoughts on these!?

Hi

So audio sorted, mechanics sorted, now on to the interior! I have been quoted everything from £750 to £1800 to retrim the Zed's two seats and cards.

I do acknowledge that the Z4 seats may be complicated, but considering I paid a £1000 for a full re-trim front and back + cards on the TT, I think its a bit steep!

So there's not much information about buckets other than the amazing sports seats which are harder to find than a good, reliable women and cost about 2.5K...... So I came across these. I think they would look great, probably offer much more support than standard seats. I am not 100% so your thoughts and guidance as always!

Very similar to the Recaro CS's which I want, except these are £700 a seat cheaper!! Not sure if that's just down to the name written on them or the quality?

However I think with a bit of imagination, a retrim in your own style can look very nice!

This type of seat can look good in any 'sport' car and may be more effective and even more comfortable.

They will impact upon the value of your Zed if you come to sell but you can always put your original seats back in and sell these on.

:driving:

If your planning lots of track days then 4 points and buckets are probably the way to go.
If it's for aesthetics then retrimming will allow you to create a more unique look.

Do you guys really think that the Z4 seats are that difficult to trip ! The guys I have spoken with have all advised that they can add some shape to the seats but not as much as the sports seats etc :headbang:

Have a look at the offerings from STATUS...similar to recaro, just less their pricetag and in my opinion, better looking than most of the corbeaus.

If anything, keep it OEM if you're not building a track monster.

Buy these and retrim them.

Just keep your eye out for a set of used M Sport on here or the bay. I would not waste money on retrimming standard seats.
