1) Job
Aircraft maintenance coordinator

2) Brief description of role/responsibilities
I am dealing with customer representatives for VIP aircraft (more specifically Gulfstream). My role is to arrange the planning of maintenance slots vs our work load, taking in account all customer's requests to insure smooth maintenance inputs, making quotes, coordinate with various repair shops and purchasers for parts, reporting maintenance status to customer....
Then I turn back to guys like A320 Phil (OP) and leave him to fix the airplane

3) 3 good points
- I love airplanes since ever, so just can't get bored with that part of my job.
- Being key contact for our customers is a real motivator (our customers bring their aircraft from everywhere, world wide), as well as to be everyday in touch with skilled technicians who knows the systems by heart!
- BMW is one of our customer, so I can joke about my car and enjoy being maintenance provider for them :)

4) 3 Bad points
- can be stressful in some situations when you have to conciliate demands from the customers and the realities of the job / aviation regulations.
- working hours, as you can't sometimes just leave the office and postpone to tomorrow. This also applies to week-ends and holidays...
- it's either very quiet or very busy, no matter how hard you try to schedule with customers. Most of the time it is very busy, so I take it as a good point.

5) Any second job/business?
Just enjoying days off with the wife, the Zed, and some video games.

Thanks for reading.
