Is that behind the seats ? I would look at a breakers, try here

It's got both missing on this one too? It's only visible if you've got the roof up / roof removed. So I'm sure it's just a small recess required for housing the locking mechanisms of the soft top. Like the top left and right of the below?

I think?? Maybe yours has slipped down? Just needs re-engaging into its clip?

excellent sleuthing - thanks - REALOEM has it under the windshield section..........never thought to look there.
