What Year Z4's Have "The Sticky Steering Problem"?

I know my 2004 Z4 suffers with the notchy/sticky steering. It's about time to replace the car anyway and I'm not a fan of the new body style. If I were to look at a 2008 Z4, do I have to worry about the bad steering or did BMW fix the problem by then?

I have never heard of post 2004 models having the issue. My 2004 had it as well ...

As PVR said think it was cured after 2004 had it on mine they put the later 2008 column and ecu in and touch wood fine so far
