What would you choose and why?

I am in dubio brand new Z4 my own configuration or BMW M4 30.000km from the year 2020 month eleven. The configuration i would have chosen.
Money wise they are all around same price.
Will be weekend car, both cars fullfill our needs.
Maybe people who had or have both what are the differences of those cars?
People wha had m4 went to z4 or visa versa.
Would nice to hear your opinions

Not had an M4 but having owned 9 two seaters, with Z4 across the three generations, I would always go with the Z4. The M4 is much harder riding and significantly bigger. Every time I consider the 4 series, the size is the big off put for me. Love having the smaller chassis and the mobility is gives you. the bigger car just isn't as nimble although I'm sure the M4 chassis is sharper to drive and obviously faster.
I also prefer to have a new car and full warranty behind it just in case things go wrong.

An approved used BMW will come with a minimum one years BMW warranty.

Personally I'd look at an M2 rather than an M4.

I know that BMWs in general are quite heavy cars but an M4 (cab) weighs nearly 2 tonnes. I had a 440i cab and it was a barge of a thing. 360bhp and 550nm made it go quite well but it was just sooooo heavy and cumbersome. All the electronic trickery in the world can't counteract physics.

A G29 ain't exactly nimble and light but it's gonna be more so than an M4.

I went from an e89 to an M4 cab.

Different beasts for different reasons, the e89 is a great two seater and much softer than an e85, great GT car in my opinion and would still have it now if not for the reasons below, don't know much about the G29.

The M4 is a 4 seater (I needed that for the grandkids and an auto for my left knee), the car is heavy but by god it moves and at 0 - 60 in 4.2 for a cab or around 4 for the coupe, not much going to stick with it at the price point with 4 seats.

The M4 servicing is not cheap nor is the insurance these days, fuel wise, I can get 37 on a run but am averaging around 30 in the 2,500 miles I have done so far, probably 60% motorway.

The things is the M4 will have depreciated already, the Z4 you will take a bigger hit, however, only you can decide on which way to go as both are great cars for different reasons.
