What wheels for current tyre sizes? Picture time!

Hi guys, I'm thinking of getting new wheels at some point, as my MV2's are sh** to clean and just don't do the car justice. But as I have relatively new tyres and a set of winter tyres of the same size, I was thinking it might be better to get wheels with the same offset.

If I'm not mistaking, the MV2 wheels are staggered:
- Front: 18" - 8J - ET47
- Rear: 18" - 8,5J - ET50

As for my tyres, I believe they are 225 and 255 (not entirely sure though).

So... which wheels would you recommend that are as wide (staggered) AND stick out a little more? How far can I go? ET35 allround?
I'm obviously looking for something a little more sporty/sexy :D Oh and feel free to post your pics!

See if you can find a set of style 224s. They suit the z4 coupe great.

Also you can find 9.5 rim on that tyre for rear and 8.5 front without issues.

Offset wise it depends on the width really.

The 224s, those are the Z4M wheels?

EDIT: so these are indeed the M-wheels:
Front 8Jx18 - ET42
Rear 9Jx18 - ET30

But those rears would stick out 26mm more than my current wheels. Isn't that too much for a non-M car?

Come to think of it, the CSLs are 9,5 with ET27 and had those on my previous Zed... hmmm... those 224s are quite pretty indeed!

I had them on my coupe and they looked great! No issues fitment, rear was spot on.

I guess it would need spacers in the front though. Still, tempting. Probably won't be easy to find them ...

CSLs or 224s...............the only problem with 224s is they are difficult to find and expensive, get a set of 18" CSLs and use your existing tyres

19inch CSL style are a winner but 18inch always appear underwhelming on E85 E86s :( 224s on the other hand are a proven formula :)
18s off a E89 or E90s are good fitment for the non M E85 so maybe the style 294 BBS split ?

or you can't fail with 107s or even better 202s

With a 225 / 255 you'll be fine with a 8.5 / 9.5 stagger.

I think these JR21's in hyper black would look pretty smart:

Not exactly what I would have been thinking of, but those look pretty cool indeed... Not sure about hyperblack though, mybe better gunmetal or shadow black.

Black Rota Grid Jap style wheels look pretty good on a black coupe as well:

Theyre virtually identical design to my Veemann FS24s

not a fan of the extra holes around the hub on the JR21S though :(

lol indeed, those all seem to be 19". The CSL-like wheels don't really look that good in 18". I think I'll go for something 5-spoke-ish... Of all suggestions, I'm still most fond of the 224s. Just not sure what colour I would like them to be. Perhaps dark grey. The calipers could do with some paint as well... but what colour? choices, choices, choices ...
