What tyre size are you running 437m on e89

I've just managed to bag a set of 437m wheels freshly power coated silver now trying to work out what tyre size is best - feedback on any issues please.

I've spent all night reading historical posts and I'm thinking....

275 30 19 rear but torn between the 235 or 245 35 19 on the front.

Any feedback on rubbing on the 245's or stretch on the 235's

These are to fit on my 35is replacing the 326m's

Thanks in advance

You can use either 235/35 or 245/35

On reflection and having tried both I think the 235/35 is better…steering is not quite as heavy and nose sits slightly down rather than nose up..depending on your suspension set up

Conti Sports 7 is the best tyre ..by some way..

Thanks, that's the sort of info I'm after

The 245 seem to be more available but the conti sports 7 do come in 235's and my local tyre place is coming in at 155 a corner, does that sound reasonable?

It’s your choice obviously…my 437m are wearing 235/35 275/30….

When my Apex Arc-8 get reshod I’ll move from 245/35 275/30 to 235/35 275/30

All Sports 7

Camskill are very good on Conti pricing…cheaper than MP4S by a way ….

Thanks, looking at the Camskill price 15 a corner less than my depot that includes fitting balancing and valves plus deposal of old tyres so happy with that
Will be booking in for conti 7's on Friday :D

Just need a plan how to get them there now.

Did you get them sorted. I’m about to have mine powder coated as I’m not keen on diamond cut finish and did prefer the silver of the 326M.

Mine are currently in mint condition ferric grey. I’m running 235/35 front and 275/30 rear as B21. I bought a set off him two years ago in black on my 20i but went with the car. They make a huge difference to stance and improve the ride quality.

Here is before and will post after next week.

Can't belive I've had them so long

Yeah still on these, slight rub on rear 275's to be honest but stance is great. Main thing that bugs me is the way brake dust holds on the outer edge, need to clean them all time

That looks stunning. I’m not getting any rubbing. That said my car had M Sport suspension delete from new so probably has a little more clearance. They look a 326M on steroids 👍 much in plain silver👍

Dropped off at BMW Chester for wheel refurbishment. Of all the days it’s snowed like hell on the morning 😫. Been booked for six weeks.

Should take four days as they go to Warrington for powder coating. £400. Not the cheapest but the cheapest offered same day turnaround. I’ve had bad experience with this as if the lacquer coat is put on too soon it can crack. Happed twice from a company up north. The wheel should be cold then heated once the final finish applied.

Should be a great finish as there was no marks whatsoever.

😊

Pictures required when you get it back :D

Don't think £400 is that expensive though, you must be adding the cost to transport them, not far up the road but still needs doing.

It’s also piece of mind. If I’m not happy I can ask for them to be put right but I’m confident they will be spot on. That also includes new M decals usually £7 each. The copies in my experience fade out very quickly.

I will post detailed photos once complete. 👍

Best wheel colour for a silver car IMO

I was very lucky though, a guy selling on Ebay freshly powder coated in silver for 800 quid, snapped them up quickly before anyone else saw them. He was only 30 mins away and personally delivered them the next day. :D

That was a cracking deal. Mine were £1350 with nearly new MPS4 but in the wrong size. Sold them for £550 and bought new CCS7s for £670. So not bad but ferric grey with diamond cut not my bag on the E89. So my choice to change the finish which is like new. It’s a good job I have a very understanding wife🤣😂👍

Not bad in comparison then. Tyres I ended up scrapping, weren't worth reselling and wrong size so it did cost me a full set of tyres on top of the £800

For me they really suit the car. Fills the arches in a classic way and improves the ride massively. And they are super strong 💪 👍

Exactly, had a spate of cracking 326m's an these being forged were the preferred option taking advice on here.

The cracking only started when I ditched the RFT's ...... :tumbleweed:

The ride was awful though
