What to do....

Haha! I never thought of that! I've decided to be a bit boring and take the wheels off the car tomorrow to give them a good scrub behind, inspect brakes and other bits. I also need to have a look at a pipe that seems to collapse when the engine is running. Only noticed it today! :-(
 
That's a good idea - check if your rear springs are ok too. Maybe paint calipers/hubs if you are feeling brave.
