Many year ago I got so sick on Scotch I can't stand even the smell of it anymore...

whats your tipple now ? :)
My days of any excesses with the spirits are long behind me...however I do enjoy a glass of wine...maybe 2... :drinkwine:
Also a little vodka of excellent quality on the rocks and this is my current favorite....

One of the things I like about whiskey is it encourages and rewards moderation. ;) I can't stand beer, and it seems to encourage excess - people will drink a gallon of the stuff in a couple of hours. You can't get most people to drink a half gallon of water over the course of a day, and that's harmless.

Talisker
Lagavulin
Laphroaig
Any other Islay Malt
The Macallan
The Macallan Cask Strength (58.6% alc/vol $60)
Jura sometimes.

I've been lucky enough to tast quite a few variations of The Macallan, different years, casks and strengths. All great!

For an after dinner Liquer try The Macallan Amber if you can get a bottle. It's Whisky, Maple Syrup and Pecans.

The only blend I drink is Black Bottle which is a blend of Islay Malts. Smoother and not as rough as Whyte and Mackay or Bells etc.

My mate works up north in a distillery, the old fella that works with him told me that you should never drink a whiskey you couldn't sleep with, ie it has to be at least 16yr old!
