What percentage of wind reduced?

-Not indigestion :) -im after getting a deflector when i hopefully get my zed sorted out, just wondering roughly what percentage of wind reduced when using one?-thanks

Personally I've never thought it makes that much difference (I'm 6'2" though), but others seem to think it is quite effective.

Certainly seems to cut down the air whipping the back of your neck, only driven without one twice mind and usually leave it in permanently.

Most effective with the side windows up but anyone around 6ft is still likely to get their hair messed up :P

Haven't you asked this question recently?

If not you somebody else has.

Not sure of actual % but it is enough to seriously cut down the noise level from the other side of the car.........

I use the standard fabric mesh one that comes in the boot, and I'd say it does help to some extent at speed but only when the windows are up too.

would it be better if I made it solid? filled with perspex (im assuming that would block all wind coming back in from that direction?)

Somebody posted a while back with some aerodynamic graphics from BMW. Basically the mesh is significantly more effective than the perspex (to do with pressure as much as airflow).

Being 6'3" the deflector made no difference imo and also the GF who is nearly a foot shorter still got blown about so we both looked windswept and interesting when we got to our destination.

I can't tell any difference, but i am 6'3''. Actually, at night, it is useful for filtering out the light from the Xenons of following cars.
