Dealers are so dull sometimes, so metal pivot hinges on a canvas roof exposed to sun/dust/damp will never need lubricating because the manual doesn't mention it
My roof stuck a couple of years ago so I used some light cycle oil which cured it - roof motor panic over (3in10 would do fine).
I start from inside with the roof up and use a little on the hinges you can see, drop the roof half way and continue, then all the way down to get to the remainder. Don't forget the fly-out catches in the front of the roof header rail. Don't use WD40 as it will release seized parts but also removes lubricants and is NOT a lubricant. Avoid using too much as it will drip on your leather and attract grit.
