What is your winter project work you have planned for your Z

My winter project for my Z4MC are on my garage itself to improve the insulation, lighting, heating and access with a new side access being cut into the brick work and a new door being installed. This will make it more comfortable for me to get stuck into some TLC On the car itself. I have owned it for 3 months and yet to clean it due to work commitments.

- Wrap my ally dash in carbon. (soon!) it's going to be pain in the ass I'm sure.

- fluids change, or at least oil if I have money I'll get all the trans stuff too. Only faff is my trolley jack doesn't fit under the car 😂.

- swap in the MFSW I got on ebay. Needs a major clean! Guess it was sat in a damp warehouse for ages. Hopefully it will work still.

I think that's it, I just wish I had more money to spend on it! Want to and honestly need to get the MFSW wheel over to Royals.

Alpina front bumper splitter
New tyres
Wheels refurbed
New rear badge
Wheel spacers
And if I get round to selling my tonneau cover and spare wheels/tyres from my Porsche that'll pay for the seats in the Zed to a re-trim in cream leather

Well it is about half way through the winter

So far I have done

Rod bearings
Oil pump inspection and rebuild and the prep work for an external relief valve.
ARP rod bolts
New control arms.
New ARB drop links at the front.
New steering arms inner and outer.
Powder coated the front X member.
Cleaned the plenum chamber.
Cleaned the throttle bodies.
Re filled the engine with oil.
Water pump inspection and new gaskets.
New oil pump chain tensioner.
New sump gasket.
New VT engine mounts.
Polly bushes at the front end of the car.
Valve clearances corrected. Just 2

This weekend could see the front end work almost finished.

Plans for the rear are to replace all of the bushes for polly ones,
Which means sub frame out and the emerging work from that.

I think I have 9 weekends to sort it out before I would like it back on the road.

Next year could see a new clutch and flywheel.

Finally getting around to converting and refreshing my Z4 so I can register it here in Germany. I've had it just over 2 years here now... 18 months longer than technically allowed without registering it.

Bought some new angel eye headlights which I'll fit tomorrow or Sunday and finally give it a much needed oil change. Will pick up my Carly from the post office and see what's causing the red Handbrake and Traction control lights to have come on and now we've got a portable hoover, give it a good going over.

Well the emerging work from the rear sub frame out to change the rear bushes is the diff needs a service.

It is now with JC Racing for the service
