Hi,

I guess it might be a silly question for some of you but I am wondering what is that thing on the ceiling of the Z4C?

I did not risk taking of the plastic grills off to see inside. I have not managed to find a picture of it online so it might be linked to an optional equipment.

I believe it's the housing that contains the ultra-sonic alarm motion sensor in the coupe. Don't know where it is in the roadster though!
 
That's where I he stun gass comes out off when you press the sport button on the 07 plate Coupes. :wink:

Is that how BMW engineerd the Sport Mode? Making you feel you are going faster because you are half asleep? :lol:
 
Originally I thought it was an air freshener to counteract all the farting you couldn't escape in a coupe :oops:
 
I thought it was a little speaker, linked to a light meter.
Every time the sun comes out it starts whispering "Bet you wish you'd bought a roadster?" :poke: :D
 
I always thought it was either linked to the alarm, or more likely, the climate control to detect the ambient temperature and increase/decrease the aircon/fan speed when the climate control was on auto. Anyway, I guess its the alarm.

It`s for the alarm . Roadsters don`t have them because they`re not worth nicking :poke: :D

Roadsters don't need them as their owners are always out in them having fun. :D
