What is this component?

Hi all,

I found this in the boot of my coupe a while ago when I was removing some of the carpets and I have no idea where it came from. But having googled the number on it someone else found it whilst removing their airbox, so somewhere completely different! I've looked at the boot trim section of realoem.com and it's not listed there...

Anyone come across one?

Boot lid stop? It prevents the boot lid from rattling.

I have similar shaped ones in the X5.

I wondered that but I can't for the life of me see where it fixes. And I'm pretty sure there are already some rubber stops on there...

In the X5 there are 2 on each side where the water runs down (next to your glass left and right). Just stuck down with some glue I think.

The main stops are above the lights.

Not familiar with the Z of course but as said, the shape seems very similar.
