What is the widest rim/wheel you can put in the front?

OE is 18x8, but I want to put 18x8.5 rim/wheels on there. Can this be done without needing to modify the fenders? and/or having rubbing issues? If so, what is the widest rim/wheel that can go on a 2016 z4 in the front?

Sweet. I'm also getting an alpine white with red interior combo. However, I'll be putting black 18x8.5's in the front & rear.

Thanks for all the responses its much appreciated! I guess I was going with 18's for a better ride, but I suppose 19's wouldn't hurt. =D I found these rims in 19x8 and 19x8.5 so perhaps I'll go for that setup instead. Any suggestions on tire size while we are at it for the 19 inch staggered setup?

Okay, so I spoke with the wheel & rim place and...

They told me...

I should get 19x8's all the way around to be safe because they can't tell if it will rub or not. They also don't know what tires to pair with the rims. Any suggestions for 19 inch rims? or should I go 19x8 in the front & 19x9.5 in the back?

If you're going to do this properly then you may find this helps.

Worth staying with it and taking time to soak up the info. What it can't tell you is wheelarch liner interferences, but it's a good guide.

Not sure i would go 8j to 9.5j :? OEM 19s run 8j & 9j or i have 8.5 & 9.5
What are the offsets of the wheels you are after ? From those you can narrow down the tyre options
I went 18s to 19s on my 89er with no downside in comfort but i didn't fit 35,s front or 30,s rears

Just as a note of caution, going outside the manufacturers recommended wheel sizes, so 8 fronts 8 or 8.5 rears and tyre sizes, as stated in the hand book may well invalidate your warranty on connected parts, engine, transmission & suspension

Oh and don't forget about the TPMS sensors,

For the front I'm thinking:

19 x 8.5
Bolt Pattern: 5x120mm
Backspace : 6.125"
Offset : 35mm
Finish: BLACK

For the rear I'm thinking:

19 x 9.5
Bolt Pattern: 5x120mm
Backspace : 6.75"
Offset: 39mm
Finish: BLACK

It's a lease, so I'm just going to pop them on and pop them off when I have to return the car.

Just to confirm are the above proposed on 19s x 8j x 4 ?

It would be for...

19x8.5 in the front x2 & 19x9.5 in the rear x2

Sorry I didn't make that clear.

They will sit & fit fine , myself i would be fitting 235 40 19 fronts & 265 35 19 rears but others may not
