THAT is an excellent piece of work. What I especially liked was:

Unfortunately, this type of speak is appealing to the masses and generally gets people elected.

Very true. People hear what they want to hear. What is unfortunate is the 45% (assuming 45% on both sides) that like this will try to convince the "undecided" voter(s) that it, along with other issues on the manifesto, will save the country.
