What Filter is this? (2.0i)

Hi there,

I've read a few posts saying that changing the intake filter does nothing about the sound on the 2.0i, and owners go back to OEM. But i came across this video. Anyone know if this is only filter sound and which filter it is?

I am a 2.0i owner and love the high rev sound, but would like more intake sound aswell.

It will only sound different if you leave the original filter housing off as in that video. Once you reassemble the housing you will lose most of that intake noise.
 
Yeah, what mmm-five said. The filter is is a fairly common permanent cleanable filter, possibly K&N. The filter element traps dirt because it is imbibed with oil. If not properly maintained, it can work very poorly and even damage your MAF sensor. It is slightly more free flowing than disposable paper filters.
