Hi guys

Today I cleaned out my washer tank, no water was being pumped out and in checking the filters were clogged up with “gunk”. So removed the whole tank to give it a clean, unplugging everything from it.

Second job was to clean out the pollen filter, whilst there I had a poke around the fuze box etc.

However since putting everything back my outside temp is now showing -40c which I believe means the temp sensor is either not working or not plugged in.

I’m guessing above has done something…any ideas or clues?

Perhaps you surreptitiously moved from Basingstoke to the South Pole and the reading is correct

It could be related to your poking of course. But it also may just be a coincidence.

The outdoor temperature sensor is in front of the left wheel well near the bumper cover edge, poking out of the cover inside a little recess. That cover piece is about 6-12 8mm bolts to remove to check to see if somehow that sensor connection is loose. I had that piece off and the sensor unplugged while working under it today, and the top would not operate when the car thought it was -40F... Plugging it back in removed that fault.
