What colour is this Z4?

Hey guys,

I'm still holding off to get my Z4 Coupe as I have been advised by a close family friend who is a BMW sales man to wait until April, when the prices should drop a bit. Anyway, could some one tell me what colour the Zed below is? is it Titanium Silver? I think that's the colour for me or Sapphire black.

Also is the paint of BMW's hard or soft?

Cheers guys

Mine's Sapphire Black:

I hope that's stratus grey - it looks amazing!

I bought a stratus coupe without having seen the colour IRL. Picking it up this weekend. Fingers crossed.

Smokin your Zed looks the business, love the Saddle colour seats. If I was to go for Sapphire Black I would get red seats with piano black interior trim.

Regarding the pic I posted, I think it might be Space grey, saw a few on the approved used BMW directory that looks fairly similar to that colour.

Good combo  On this side of the pond, we can't get the piano black

I'm not partial to red seats, but that's just me. This car had been on the lot the better part of a year, so with the 2008 models set to come in within a few weeks and the factory to dealer incentives, I couldn't resist. :driving:

Thought Il post this link. You can get allot of genuine BMW parts, very good for aftermarket options.

And yep that pic of the Z4 is Space grey, found a link with the colour code.

Speculate all you like guys that is A52- Space Grey metallic. It's featured with the same reg in the 2008 brochure and inside front cover confirms the colour

241 star spoke rims, beige oregon leather and brushed ally interior :)

When the Z4/M coupe brochures came out in '06 only silver gray was available. If that picture comes from an '08 brochure, BMW probably just photoshopped it to look like the space gray. Either way, I can tell you that (on my monitor), that picture looks nothing like silver gray, which is pretty light in color and has more of a blueish tinge to it. Space gray is slightly darker and has more depth, and is closer to the original Z4 launch color sterling gray than silver gray is.

I'm still tempted to replace my dark poplar with piano black trim (Jet Black/Dream Red combo)... we just have to get it shipped in as piano black was, as noted, never a Z4 option in the states. But it runs north of $1,000, not including install (I don't trust myself).

Just in case, here's the part no. and pricing (Crown Automotive):

51458023503 - $132.44
51458023504 - $455.46
51167906703 - $472.28

They are giving them away already, just get it :)

As for the grey....its confusing because 'Space Grey' on an E92 3 Series looks different to 'Space Grey' on a Z4, which looks much more like Silver Grey to me (the E46 M3 colour). That image has been photoshopped within an inch of it's life anyway so hard to say!

I think you should definitely change the wood over to piano black - would look awesome with the black exterior and fit better with the rest of the trim - sorry, I hope that doesn't sound like I'm critisising your new car!!!!
