What colour floor mats?

Planning on getting some rubber floor mats that'll be good for winter and summer. I currently have black ones that don't fit perfectly, so it keeps sliding forward and I have to pull it back.

I'm leaning towards black ones that are custom fit for the Z4. Should I get beige ones to match my interior? I just figure beige shows dirt easily.

To make a short story long, should one's rubber floor mats match the interior colour?

IMHO I would go for the black also. You can get these Velcro buttons that push into the carpet and then attach to the floor mats to hold them in place from the dealer. I think they were 2 for 5 bucks. They come in three different sizes. I do not know if the rubber mats come with the other part of the Velcro setup. I know the carpet ones have the Velcro on the mats.

takedown8, which brand are you currently using?

IMO, black mats look way better. You might be able to pull off beige, though...

BTW, check these ones out. I have them for my Zed, and they work quite well. They do slip forward a little, but I rarely have to readjust them.

My Zed is Maldives blue too, however the interior is black. My floormats are black to match the interior.
I think that, if you can get ones to match the carpet, you ought to buy those. Is your carpet beige?

I changed my beige mats to black. Looks much nicer and gives a nice contrast.

I have these and to be quite honest, they suck! Good for a little while I'm sure but, will loose their 'stickiness' soon aferwards.

I'm with Rick, black mats look great with a tan (men: must we call it beige?) interior. Do it and you'll never go back...

Seems like a mix. I currently have black, which I think looks great on the beige (tan for you, Roadster!) carpet. For some reason, when I picture beige floor mats in my car, I picture them getting dirty, nasty, and ugly-looking since the lighter colour shows dirt more.

Rick, I saw that site with the WeatherTech mats. Thanks for that. They are pretty darned expensive for floor mats though! Almost double the cost of the OEM BMW ones.

Does anyone actually have the OEM BMW ones? How do you find them? Do you fit really well or do you find that you have to readjust them regularly?

Yeah... think of them as an investment. You definitely get what you pay for. They're a lot better quality than the OEM ones, and look cooler too. BTW, they'll actually fit a 3 series as well.

I'd offer you my M mats (dealer threw them in for me), but I'm keeping it for nostalgia.
