I want to put xenon headlights in my car but am undecided and confused about the different temeratures, I have heard of 6k 8k 10k 12k. Which of these does bmw fit in their cars? which do you think are the best looking lights and what are the differences?

i used to like the oem 4300k (white) and 5000k (slight blue), but call me crazy, i've seen few hid's these days in the 3000k region, and it has that bright yellow, not halogen yellow, but neon yellow. its pretty unique, brighter than other temperatures, and isnt' as annoying as the purple crap u see on the roads.

Question is why do you want to?

If it's for more light then stock. The higher the colour temperature the less usable light output.

If it's 'show' then whatever colour you want, but don't expect to see far

I'd also ask if you mean genuine BMW headlamp units, retrofit HID, or just 'halogen' bulbs filled with Xenon and possibly even coated

I want to get either 6k or 8k But i was wondering if 8K were too blue? What do you guys think based on what you have?

Did you read my post above? The answwer depends on what you wan tto achieve

IMHO 8000 are way too blue and little light output. plowy probably has the highest to be reasonable for on road use. My OEM are spot on.

I think I'll get 6000k, but I don't know if they will show the bluish color that is seen on stock bmws.

go with 4300, as you will see the most, which is important for safety and driving fast at night on no lit roads, original is 4300 anyway, and trust me you can tell the difference right away between halogen and zenon.
