Hi everyone,

I have a 2004 BMW Z4 and I'm using the INPA software for diagnostics. However, I'm experiencing connection issues and I suspect it might be due to the cable I'm using. Could someone recommend the correct cable to use for connecting my car to the INPA software?

Ideally a link

Thanks in advance for your help!

K+DCAN cable

As long as it looks like this, it should be good. There is another variant with a push button for the pin 6-7 bridging but I've never used that

You may find that it will only connect to some of the ecu areas on one bridge setting but will connect to the others on the other bridge setting .

Hah, wasn't aware of this. I have the selector switch all the way to the left and it seems to connect to all ECU's (except the ones I don't have of course). Same with ISTA+

Actually just checked and that was on my old 3 series not on my E86 so probably best to ignore that :headbang:
