ok guys, finally fitted my carbon seats...

as such i have THE PERFECT and i mean PERFECT ///M seats that may be up for grabs, they are pristine. ive owned this car from new and its currently sitting on 14k miles. They are wrinkle and blemish free. Whats the going price for these now days? tempted to keep them but it seems a shame to stick them in the loft and forget about them.

Keep them, they’ll add to the cars value at some time in the future.

If heated and 14k pristine £1200

More than that I’d say, I’ve seen half knackered ones go for £1k+ :o
Rob

they are heated and like new, literally like new.

I think they’re also different to M sport seats fitted to non M cars, the leather’s better quality & they have less seams

If you had to hazard a guess ... What would you say the value is of these ???

I have to admit I think you may be right , I'll just wrap them up and stick them in storage .

If I ever sell the car not everyone is going to fit in these new ones , they are rather snug. 🤣

I’d guess around £1.5k after seeing what some poor examples have fetched with damaged leather & worn bolsters.

Seats....?? :o

They look like carbon fibre medieval torture devices.....

honestly, your going to think I'm mad but these make the stock items seem uncomfortable.... they are so perfectly sculpted to the body its like being held in every curve of your back. Plus they look absolutely NUTS... i do however have some custom stitched pieces inbound ) the stock items look really nice but simply don't offer anywhere near enough support, plus these shed over 40kg from the car! I feel such a part of the car now i cant explain it, the pedal engagement and gear shift are so much better accessed as these recline you back slightly , everything just falls to hand so to say.

thanks for your input, ill wrap them up and store them away.

Hard to say for sure it's just a matter of finding someone who really wants them, but definitely well into 4 figures.

Nappa leather was standard on M cars whereas non-Ms had lower quality Oregon leather, unless someone chose an upgrade. And seats in Ms usually had the "M" logo on the headrests unlike M-Sport seats in non-Ms.

But like Rob said I'd keep them in case you ever come to sell your car - I think most buyers would prefer them to your torture devices!

Storing them seems like the best plan!

The ///M seats are quality items. Mine don't have a mark or a crease on them after 70+k. I would put them in the loft. I doubt any ///M owners will need them yet. They will likely be far more desirable than any carbon items, should you ever sell.

I was gonna say flog em - bird in the hand and all that. You never know, market for them might disappear if you hold them too long.

But, having seen your new seats, comfy or not I think they're aesthetic marmite. I'd now say keep them to put back in when you sell the car.
