hi all,not posted for a while, i only seem to post when i have a problem  will make more of an effort in the future. anyway, i only drive my car 4 days a week as i work a 4 on 4 off shift and walk to work, i went out today and noticed condensation on the passenger window, i had a feel in the footwell as i have read previous posts about water ingress there but it was dry, i moved the seat forward and the carpet behind the seat is soaked, see pic.

i checked all the rubbers round the door and they seem fine, the membrane behind the door card is intact, i did notice this rubber strip wasn't in properly, see pic

would this coupled with the fact i park on a slight incline with the arse end down have an effect? the carpet on the side above the floor is dry so i can only assume it's leaking under the carpet. i have looked at previous threads regarding this but wasn't much help. any suggestions would be nice. cheers

The rubber trim above only seals the side skirt to the body, it will not allow water into the car even if it was removed. It's for aesthetics more than anything.

I had the same problem with water under seat and in the boot by the suspension tower
The issue was solved by cleaning the drains and by changing the door seal.
Unfortunately this did not prevent the soft top motor from packing up a couple of months later

The boot is dry I checked. Think I might take the seats and carpet out and sit inside while somebody sprays a hose over it and try and see where it comes in. Or better still get rid of it and buy a car that doesn't leak.
