Wet Carpets

Hi all, I recently had a water ingress issue on the driver side which I am hoping is now resolved.

The only problem I am facing now is the underneath of the carpet is wet.

If I reach behind the seat and put my hand under the carpet flap it feels wet even after several assurances from the dealer that it had been dried.

I am at a loss what to do now as each time I take it back to the dealer ( indie dealer), he says he's dried it but clearly hasn't. Also his idea of drying it is pointing a hot blower under the carpet even though he says he's removed the carpet I don't believe he has.

Will the carpet eventually dry if it's own accord or not ?[FACE WITH COLD SWEAT]

How did they fix the leak? I have similar on my passenger side, can you wedge the carpet back or go for a topless hoon with blower on your feet?

They replaced the door seal and also adjusted something in the door panel that was making the water go inwards instead of outwards. What I need to know is if the carpet will eventually dry of it's own accord or not as they have tried a hot fan blowing air underneath the carpet but it's not worked? :(

I don't know how bad this is.
The pile surface of the carpet will dry out naturally,
under the carpet if it's bad May be a different story.
If you believe there is a lot of trapped moisture (water) under the carpet it might be worth the effort to remove the seats so that you can lift the carpets and dry underneath.

Anyone know what they may have adjusted?

Y carpets were like a swimming pool. Actually had puddles! If you slide the seat forward there is a flap in the carpet. Mine had enough water under that flap I could soak it with a sponge.

I got some old towels and stuffed them in the hole and left them to soak up. Changed them every day. Seemed the work really well.
