Well my baby is back from a recent round of software updates... though clearly all has not gone well and the dealer isn't sure they can fix it..
The latest software has gone onto my DCT, as well as a few other systems. Car is like new again, better in all sorts of ways, better pickup, better gear changes, new dash graphics, all sorts...
However... and you knew the but was coming... the car now won't let me move it without the seatbelt being buckled.. it reports 'DRIVERS DOOR IS OPEN' with loads more about you can't drive it until you close the door and buckle up. Er... The drivers door IS CLOSED! ...and before you tell me I shouldn't be moving it, this is when I back it out of the drive in the morning, still on my own driveway, always happy to do it before, not now. I pop it in D or R and it goes pop back into P with bongs and words galore.
The dealer thinks its a software bug, as the dome light etc lights/goes off when the door is closed so I'm guessing the car does know the doors closed, but the bit that checks this along with the seatbelt etc is burgered. Manual states this only happens when the door is open and seatbelt unbuckled.
Time to await the next software update...(or consider asking them to roll it back, but the car is improved in other ways so don't really want to do that). Grr.
