Think I may need some shrink's help on this one:
Some dude asked the bar next door who was the proprietor of the Z4MC. Turns out he's an old retired racer (up to F1 in the 70's and his name checks out 100%) and loves the car. When my wife came back he had a chat with her asking eventually if it was for sale. Holy molly when I got back just the fact that the missus told me he wanted to buy it , I got all weird. He might as well have asked if he could buy my wife! I tried to be pleasent but it it was really strange. I knew he was serious and even though there was no speaking of amounts, no amount of dissuation would put him off (you can find them on the internet, there currently 4 for sale in France; chassis has been heavily modified, etc etc). He just just replied yes I know, and I know the guys who did all your moifications, here's my phone number if you ever thinbking about it, let me know. Lovely old school way of doing things but I felt like he was going to rape my baby. Think I need help or a Buddist explainig me that a) getting attached to things is not good and b) getting emotionally involved with that thing is even worse. My own reaction really surprised me there. I don't ever mind talking about my car or showing around to people. WTF?
