Was a little bored today on the boat, stuck on duty watching DAVE.
I decided to fill in the form on WeBuyAnyCar.Com...

£7800 for my car, no wonder they will buy any car!

I love that on the advert they have R8's, Lambo's etc...

LOL. Although some people have actually got decent prices for their motors, 2dogs got a good price on his. The price they gave me for my SLK was low-ball as you'd expect. I suppose some people will get desperate and need a quick sale and have to do it.

I got a price from them for my E85, which was just under the dealer's offer. Of course they buy and sell cars to make profit. It will suit someone who want to sell car but not buy another one, and doesn't want time wasters coming to their home.

I am very tempted to go with them, they offered me 19500 for my Z4M. Which is less than I want for the car, but within 5% so very close.

But, I am in no hurry to sell and would rather it went to a good home.

TBH that sounds like a pretty good deal, especially for a no hassle sale, just turn up and get the cash or bank transfer done. Think the private market is so quiet just now, that hanging on for another few quid might not be the best idea in the long run.

To be honest Mike I am toying with keeping it & buying a cheaper third car.

The main problem is that I am tied in on the 118d til 01/2012 as it is a company car, if it were mine I would have sold / p/x'd that instead. To hand it back now would cost me £3000 in termination fees! It's fine for the baby (just about) OR the dogs, but not enough space for the two combined.

I very nearly got an Octavia Estate company car but back at the time I thought "I will never use the space"

Have you got some details and pictures of your M//..? Just out of interest

They are offering £6300 for my Swift Sport, that ia about £1k less than I was thinking I would get. And they want £80 Admin too :o

I do agree however that it is hasstle free selling

I just sold my Leon with 100k on the clock to WBAC. Got a couple of hundred more than I was offered by a BMW main dealer in PX for a Zed I was looking at.

That may not be unconnected to the torrential rain at the inspection that meant it was a bit less thorough than I think they usually are. Although they did try claiming that it only had a partial history as it was serviced in Dec 2007 and Jan 2009 with exactly 10k (as recommended) between services

PM sent. You need to see the colour in the flesh. At dawn the colour is very similar to your car, then as the day gets brighter the colour takes on different tones. I very nearly didn't bother with it when I saw the advert but I then saw an M6 in Sepang on the motorway and recalled the Z4M I had browsed. I was straight on the phone to the dealership once I got home and looked up the phone number!

If I recall from the details you posted previously your car has the upgraded Hi-Fi and 50k? I would be happy with the age/miles/spec of your car in exchange for mine and it would certainly be a much better deal for both of us than going to a dealership and p/xing! My car is detailed pretty much every weekend by me, has just had 4 new tyres and wants for nothing - this is the annoying thing about me seeing it go to the trade, they want to pay bottom book but admit that the car would need not spend a penny on it, straight out on the forecourt :headbang:

Edit: I found your post from a few days back...the specification of my car is very similar to yours, although I don't have a CD changer (but the CD player in my car is the newer version which plays MP3 so you can still have 10 CDs worth of music at your fingertips).

I'll leave it with you to have a think about!

The market is very dry at the moment, that's for sure. But don't give up hope just yet John. The person who bought mine I could tell was instantly sold on it. I was the same as you, and was holding out for an enthusiast rather than just going to a dealer or WBAC. If your car is a good price, like mine was, then it'll sell easily. I think it can be easy to look at the very cheap end of the market and think your car is overpriced, but the likelihood is that those cars are in bad condition. That's a very high likelihood I would say. That may also be due to late servicing, etc. The person who bought mine had seen a few and they were all naff.

I decided to have a bit of a play on the webuyanycar.com website. I put in some fake contact details as I just wanted to see what sort of prices would come back.

Started by putting in the reg number of my neighbours 59 plate Jag XF Luxury with no options on it :P - its just about 12 months old. The price that came back from the site was £24K. Not bad I thought, so I then put in my own car details and all the optional extras. My car is just short of 16 months old (sDrive 23i). The price that came back was just over £18K. :? :x

Still recovering from the shock. :|

The residuals on the Jags are very good, so that may have played a part. the optional extras tend not to add much to the resale value of a car, just makes it more attractive to a potential buyer.

Also, the Z4 is a sports car, and the market for these is very unpredictable so wouldn't rely on their automated system to give you a good price.

Just tried my 320d compact in for a qoute after reading this thred came out £1400 less than I was offerd by a local dealer they should be called westealanycar.com :poke:

They offered me £5,545 for my 2003 3.0 Z4, that made my mind up for me. I have no intentions of ever selling this car now, its worth more to me than anyone will ever pay. If i need another car then i finance one and sorn the Z4 for winter months, what a bunch of con artists i recon in a private sale i could easily get £8K.

my bro sold a citroen c6 for more than her paid for it via WBAC - no haggles, they just came, inspected and floated off in it :)

my z4m - £13800 ouch  these offered just under 20k 6 months ago, the other we will gang - £15300, thank goodnes the pex deal is far far better.
