I've been considering getting my Zed professionally detailed recently and I took it down to a chap called John at Waxology (http://www.waxology.co.uk/) in Hook. I only went down to visit and chat about what my options were, but he chatted through what could be done to the car, showed me what the swirl markings on my Zed looked like compared to another black car he had, measured my paint depth, gave me advice on some paintwork woes I'd been having and all sorts of other stuff. The bloke was genuinely friendly, massively enthusiastic about cars, very knowledgeable about detailing and overall a really professional chap.
He even did a quick rotary polish on one of my panels to show me the difference between what the paintwork should look like and what it was currently like. He "conveniently" did this demonstration on a panel that already had quite an obvious scratch on it, without me even asking him to do anything to it, so I was super chuffed with that. The polished panel made the rest of the car look grey in comparison, and that was only 5 minutes work.
Whilst I'm still considering whether I am going to get the car detailed, or whether I'm going to spend the money on stuff that needs doing to my motorbike, I'd seriously recommend this bloke to anyone in the area, or even from further away.
I'm not affiliated with the guy in any way, I just felt like he deserved a bit of a shout-out.
An example of his excellent work: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=273158
