This is the scene in my street as the water is creeping up to the house.... would mind but i live 3 miles from the nearest river and 1/2 mile from the coast...... its just the amount of rain eater in the streets

Obviously the mains drains just couldn't cope, I hope all is well now.

ive posted some pics on the other water thread which are all close to home. i even saw lightning strike one of the street lamps which was awesome .

luckily for me it stopped just before it got to the garage.... unfortunalty for the rest of the people in the street they were flooded out

Scenes like this fill me with dread! Its all over the news even golf ball sized hail stones. The road by me flooded afew weeks back. Sorry to hear your neighbours were'nt so lucky.

the metro line was the reason for the water..... it filled up with rain and then broke through into the gardens of the houses that backed onto it. this then ran through the houses and into the street, that was the reason it didnt happen until the rain had been stopped for over an hour it had just built up..... will prob never happen again
