Water pump help.

Hi guys, I'm sure a few of you would have had this problem so hopefully can help!

I have an 04 2.5i E85 and the water pump seems to have failed, I've done some research and I believe it's because it has a plastic impellor.

My car has done 77,000 so it's held up pretty well, I see its a common problem but I can't seem to find any recommendations as to which water pump to buy as a replacement.

Can anyone recommend one perhaps with a metal impellor?

Hi Andy, ive heard the meyle pumps have metal impellors but have no direct experience to confirm this.

Yep. They do. I've just recently fitted one myself. Took forum advice too. Changed thermostat+housing and replaced both belts while I was there. It's a right fiddly pita job OP. Be prepared for skinned knuckles and loads o swearing. Have fun. :roll:
