Water leak in boot

Hi,

I found water in my boot. The water seems to be around the right side recess space. This morning I poured some water hoping to find the source of the leak and I saw it was coming from a white screw holder. I poured more water and the ingress seems to be finding its way inderneath the plastic trim that goes around the rear lens, there are 3 screws holding it.
I couldn't find anything on this and I don't know how to take the plastic trim off. I am convinced that it is water coming through that plastic screw holder as each time I pour water it drips. The saturated area is consistent with where the water is dripping. We have had loads of rain recently.
Has anyone come across this before and if so what is the fix. Grateful for any help. Thanks

I have attached a picture of the white screw holder where the water is dripping. The screw that goes into it is the top screw on the black plastic trim around the rear lens.

I took my rear lights out recently and I couldn't figure out how that cover comes off :(
There were 3 screws but it seems it's connected to the bumper/wing somehow.

Be interested to find out too.

I removed the 3 screws and it became quite loose but agree that it seems clipped on the other side. Looking at the picture, the white screw holder seems to be on the inner side of the sealing lens gasket. I wonder if applying some mastic around the screw holder would be ok or if that would cause more issues.

Can you pop those screw holders out and apply some sealant to the mating faces? From the photos looks like some residue from leaking.

For now I have put mastic to seal the screw housing. Later on I shall figure out how to remove the plastic trim to seal it properly. Thanks
