water dripping from rear jacking point

Hi all

I have noticed over the last week or so that when I park at work on a slight slope that water drips from the drivers side rear jacking point. At first I thought it was the roof drains, but when I looked under the car its dripping from the pin that is in the middle of the jacking block. It stopped after about an hour. Today we have had quite a down poor and its started dripping again. Its now been 3 hours since the rain and its still dripping. Has anyone else had this problem? I have checked around the block and its all dry it is only coming from the middle of the jacking block. Not doing it on the other side only the drivers side.
 
Have you checked the carpet behind the seat to see if it's dry.Best move the seat forward to check.
 
Are you sure it's not just dripping from the side-skirt? They can hold water and release it as soon as the car is on an angle or slope and is nothing to be concerned about
 
I would agree with CJ

Last week it was bone dry all week... but my car had been exposed to rain the weekend earlier. Took it for a drive parked up and there was a wet patch next to my rear mudflap bit.. which must have come from the side skirt.
 
Yeah its coming from the centre of the jacking block I have taken a video so will upload it and you can see what I mean. Not looked at the carpet will do that when it stops raining :lol:

I could not upload the video but this photo shows that it is dripping from the centre and the rest of it is dry
 
Didn't I read somewhere that the chassis frame is prone to filling up with water ? Can't remember where I read it on here though, and I'm on holiday so Bing Search is temporarily suspended :)
 
there is another thread on this subject somewhere but ICNBATLFI :rofl: - apparently there is a drain each side from the scuttle and the drivers one gets blocks and fills up the side panel with water [which then goes slosh / slosh when you drive] I have this issue, but if you leave the jacking point a bit loose it will drain away - especially when you drive away :) - check for the trail on the road :rofl:
