Water collecting near bonnet hinge - coupe

Hi everyone

Would appreciate any advice / thoughts!

I've just washed my z4m coupe - and popped open the bonnet afterwards. I noticed a lot of water collecting near the hinges of the bonnet (next to the scuttle plate). Is this normal? I know there are issues with drainage holes on the softtop but can't find anything regarding the coupe. I've attached some pictures - hope they are clear.

Any thoughts appreciated!IMG_20170828_132450.jpgIMG_20170828_132441.jpg
Thanks!

You need to unbung the drainage holes for the scuttle panel. One each side, probably full of leaves.

If yo look the engine side of the scuttle and down a little you will see a rubber flap each side near the wing. That is the bottom of the drain that needs cleaning out.

Identical to roadster, do an issue they both share.

If I was you I would carefully remove the wiper arms and then the scuttle panel. You will be amazed how much gunge and rubbish is under there. :o You can then clean it all out, unblock the drains, check the wiper linkage is all ok and lubed and apply a good coat of wax to all the paintwork before you refit the scuttle. Well worth doing.
