Was my car swapped form the UK to EU?

Hi,

Few months ago I bought my Z4. From VIN it's from Italy.
However I'm discovering more and more UK parts

At first my theory was - someone had a donor car form the UK as mine was crashed in 2009.
Hence my headlamps are UK.
But then I noticed the seats are also leather and UK (originally mine were cloth) - but after 20 years probably someone swapped them to leather.
Today I noticed that passenger mirror has a weird gap where you can put a whole finger inside.. like it's also from the UK car.
My door lock does not close the car (it opens), but doesn't close. Like it's ok the passenger side maybe.

At this point I wonder was the UK car the parts donor or was the IT was the VIN donor
Any clues where to dig to get an answer?

(Btw. Any hints how to fix the door lock?)

It's probably stolen and cloned.


The headlamps would need to be changed as we drive on the other side of the road to Italy.

Nah.
I'm from Poland and for ~20eur with the right person you can pass MOT without even showing the car.
UK lamps here are cheaper than EU, and widely available on second hand market.
