Warning lights after car wash

I got my lad to give the Zed a quick wash before I used it for work, just a hose and soft brush as per normal.

Five minutes into my drive to work these lights popped on

I think I read somewhere they could be DSC related? My Autel scanner is in my daily so won't be able to read anything till tomorrow.

Am I being too hopeful that something has got wet in the washing process and when I go to drive it later all will be back to normal?! :o

I suspect the lights coming on after that car was washed is just coincidental.

I'd start by checking out the condition of your battery - BMWs tend to suffer all sorts of electric glitches when the battery is dying.

The one in my Z4 died in April and I started it with a jumper pack, then got three of those warning lights. Replaced the battery and my Indy cleared the lights - all good so far!

Thanks I will check the battery but it isn't that old and cranks over extremely well even after being sat for a week or two. I'm pinning my hopes on coincidence for now and will find out in a couple of hours! When driving there was no change to performance at all

So got in the car last night, moved forward and the lights went out. Kept driving and they came on when I reached 55 mph. Same thing happened this morning.......bang on 55 mph the lights come on!

Still not had chance to scan it yet but its definitely getting triggered at a particular speed, so I'm thinking maybe an ABS sensor has gone bad :|

I would say likely to be ABS sensor - mine behaves in the opposite way, if I jet wash the wheels then often that will mean the lights go out. They tend to come on when the car is hot, so in the summer. I keep meaning to change the sensors but as I only use the car for about 1000 miles a year I just forget hah

Well it is the NSF abs sensor, the first 'fault' to occur with the car in five months so not too disappointed!
