Seen a few copies from Bulgaria recently on eBay and I think a few poeople here have bought.

Has anyone got a good original bmw one for sale please ?
 
Has anybody bought one of these at all, are they genuine ? Cynical me says no

If it's much lower than dealer price and it's on eBay then it's likely dodgy... Id save your money and buy of AliExpress at £7 it's gotta be worth the punt and worst case you hate it and buy the original you only lost £7 but more likely you'll be happy and you saved £60

Yes. It was fake.
 
I recently snagged one from Lloyds BMW (Carlisle) on 01228 542222 after I was referred to them by my local dealer. For what it’s worth, my local dealer also said that they were on back-order with further delivery due mid-august.

Yup you got their last one. I rang and enquired
 
I was considering buying a five speed knob and just replacing the five speed insert with the six speed insert. Dealers still seem to have the five speed version in stock for the dealer price. I’m not sure if Sopers in Lincoln have a five speed knob and a six speed insert, in which case, you’d be in business for a 10% reduction and free p+p for mentioning the z4 forum. Ocean Plymouth are selling the five speed version on fleabay, so must have them in stock. Here are a few links and part numbers I found:
