Wanted: Z4MC

Hi everyone,

Been looking around for some time now at Z4MCs but not in a position to spend top money for one.

Looking at one for around the 12k tops mark so it would have to be a high mileage one really at that with potentially some problems that need sorting.

I do have a really nice MK4 Golf R32 so if people are open to PX then that would suit me.

I've seen that one that is up on eBay with like 150k on the clock but the dealer put me off and the 70k gap in service history is offputting to be honest.

You're going to struggle with that budget.

Given the prices in the past couple of years, it might be more sensible throwing some more money at a better car - safe in the knowledge that your investment will most likely be safe if the car is looked after.

Yeah, I think you're right tbh. I reckon for my budget it will be the odd Z4MC where alarm bells are ringing like the one I mentioned

Or you could get a very tidy and lowish mileage Z4C for the same money which will cost you a lot less to tax, insure, maintain etc. But if it’s got to be an “M”, that budget will come with a lot of compromises.

Yes, as others have already said you'll struggle to find a decent MC for that budget, unless you get lucky and find someone desperate to sell.

Anyway good luck with your search as they are fantastic cars.

As above, £12k is a real push for a Z4MC and you'd probably buy a world a trouble.

A really nice Z4C or a high mile Z4MR maybe??
