After an induction kit for the car but don't want to be paying big doh as I've got a 3k bodywork bill to pay within the next month.

Anyone have one or any CONSTRUCTIVE advice.

The cheapest option is to just put one of the cone filers on the end of the MAF housing with a bit of silicon tubing and bracket to hold it in place. Will get a lovely roar but won't do anything for power (£100?) - but you'll have to do your own research/fabrication.

The cheapest new option is the Simota copy of the Gruppe M (£300) - didn't have much luck with mine

Next option is the AFE one - cone filter and ally heat shield - with or without the scoop (£350)

Next option is the forum price for the eVenturi one (£550) - came out about 2 months too late for me to try

Next option is the Gruppe-M from CA-Automotive (£650-£700) - I run one of these and can just about hear it over my (Rogue Diablo) exhaust

Final & most expensive option is the Geof Steele, Evolve, CA-Automotive CSL style box with Alpha-N (£1200-£3000) - would love one, but not at those prices

If you want 2nd hand, then you'll just have toi keep your eyes open on here/ebay for someone selling one of the above more cheaply.

The option mmm-five hasn't mentioned is the aFe CAI. It's a cone filter with a heat shield that creates a fantastic selection of induction noises culminating in an ascending screaming roar from 4-8000K. It doesn't yield more power but neither does it lose power. Most importantly, I've had no MAF problems with mine and haven't experienced heat soak (even when driving hard on the track at >30 degrees last summer).
I would try to blag a ride in cars fitted with the eVenturi and one of the cheaper options such as the aFe system before committing cash to any of them.

Dammit! They posted whilst I was writing...

Thanx lads, Really much appreciated!!! Will need something with a MAF housing as mine was in a million pieces lol

Going to speak with sycross carbon (UK based custom carbon parts) tomorrow and see if they will make some parts at a reasonable price. Original enquiry was to see if they will make a bonnet lol. Long shot but if you don't ask you don't get.
All else fails it's aFe I think for now.

aFe do a good kit for the //M at a good prices, about £3/350.
That's the one I couldn't remember :headbang:

I've got one on my car and they do give you a nice bit of extra noise. They are not as drool inducing as a sexy carbon fiber one but they are a bloody site cheaper.
