Wanted - Z4 ROOF PUMP

I'm looking for a Hydrolic roof pump for a BMW Z4, mine has ceased due to water intrusion (common fault with this car) and BMW won't do anything about it so I've gotta get it fixed myself!!

Anyone got one for sale? Maybe you're changing your roof and don't require the old pump anymore.
 
Good luck - Been trying to get hold of one of these myself... Although dont think i'd risk buying a 2nd hand pump.. Do you really want to risk having to replace it again sometime?

After having spoken to BMW, it looks like there is no stock either in UK or Germany at the moment, so there is a bit of a lead time... Expected deliver is 3rd Sept. New motor from Sopers BMW is £266.

I managed to get a refurbed one from ebay for £200, its just arrived this morning and looks pretty good to be fair the parts are all brand new, going to try and fit it this weekend not looking forward to that at all!

When I take my pump out I'm going to try and get it refurbed so if I do I'll let you know if you haven't bought one by then.
 
Hi - Thanks for the offer. I've ordered a new one now just need to wait for it to arrive.
Incidentally, a brand new pump straight from Sopers was only £266 inc VAT and postage to me.

Be good to know how easy/hard a job replacement is! I've printed off all of Shipkillers guides, and it looks straight-forward.. Fingers crossed it is!
