Revised/refined spec:

I'm looking to buy a 2007/2008 Z4 3.0si Roadster.
Not in a rush and happy to wait for the right car to come along.

Model: Z4 3.0si SE Roadster
Gearbox: Manual
Mileage: Under 40,000 miles (preferred)
Colour: Grey (preference), Silver or White (considered)
Interior: Black
Year: 2007/2008
Budget: Up to £10,500

I'm based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

Thanks in advance. And thanks for all the comments, help and suggestions so far, shown below.

Welcome! Avoid the 2.5 if you want some oomph. In your budget you should be able to get a well sorted 3.0si. They've got 265bhp and really sound great :)

Thanks for the info/link Bradders75. Great price. Slightly put off by the screen washer/headlight washer issue not being properly sorted, but I'm sure it's fixable.

You'll have over £1000 in your pocket to sort that out as the car is underpriced due to the seller's position. It's pretty close to you and a bargain mate. Trust me, go and have a look.

You have the budget for a 3.0si so why not - 265bhp and a wonderful sound.

I paid £10500 for my 2008 3.0si from BMW Jan this year with 53000 miles and the usual years warranty - have a look see what they have.

You may need to be patient to get the Zed you want.

:driving:

The 2.5si is no slouch, had many a tussle with a coupe in my old one on the way home from work and neither of us could get away no matter who was in front.

Drag strip might be a slightly different story, but not by much.

My car is stunning and the headlight washers DO work but they slowly drip water and eventually it leaves the reservoir empty so I had a garage just disable them as I needed to be able to clean the windscreen so there isn't a major problem but if you wanted to fix them it will probably be just failed washers in them as they do fail but for me the headlight washers are a bit pointless so I didn't bother but as for not even considering my car which has a full BMW service history and only 36,000 miles and is in totally superb condition and the washers are so easily fixable then you will miss a stunner and an absolute bargain.

Its a lovely looking zed Shane, the washers are an easy fix and it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, and is certainly worth a closer inspection and visit isn't it .......

Just joined the forum and looking to buy a 2007/2008 Z4 (or newer if my budget allows).
Not in a rush and happy to wait for the right car to come along.

I'm after either a 2.5si, 3.0i or 3.0si Roadster (any advice on which to get would be appreciated).
Manual
Under 40,000 miles
Silver or Grey, or possibly white with black leather interior.
2007/2008/2009
Up to £10,500

I'm based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

Thanks in advance.

Hi my 2.5 auto is available (sadly) only 18000 miles doing 2000 pa !, FSH, blue, cream leather interior, 2006, new ad on the forum , asking £8600, new set of tyres December T&T, can email pics if you would appreciate more detail - [email protected] - car in West Mids

Hi Bison, Thanks for pointing me in the direction of your car, but unfortunately I'm after a manual.

For your budget I'd hold out for one that needs zero work, minimal miles and has lived the life of a garage queen. Its a buyers market this time of year and you have a good number to work with. If you're not in a rush then you'll find the perfect car either here or in the classifieds.

Thanks inkey$. That's kind of what I'm thinking. I've got a decent budget, so I'm wanting a near as damn-it mint car.

Hey, dig your heels in chap, it doesn't affect me in the slightest. :)

I've viewed the car and checked the full BMW service history. The owner has been a presence on this forum for his entire ownership so you get traceability you can't get through the Autotrader etc. The paintwork is all original (apart from the resprayed front bumper) and it is in lovely condition. It has a couple of very minor blemishes but what 8 year old car doesn't? I was seriously thinking of upgrading my 03 against it but decided I know my car too well (had it nearly 6 years) and couldn't bring myself to part with it. If I could, I'd have bought this one.

Anyway, I've tried to help you and will leave it there. Good luck with finding your perfect used car.

Hi Shane you won't find a mint car for your budget but it is a shame you will miss out on mine as bradders has seen it and he has an eye for picking out any faults and blemishes :) the headlight washers do work it is that they were dripping slightly from below the unit and I had them disabled but it is a cheap fix :) good luck though
