A little video I've just made with my new DJI Mavic Pro drone showing off the installed Smart Top module 3 presses of the unlock button drops the roof and 3 presses of the lock button closes the roof

Video shot in 4K on the settings straight out the box, expand the video to view it in high quality 4K

Impressive. How easy was the smart top to install.

Install of the module took about 5 mins, dead easy you unplug the roof module and plug in the supplied harness between the roof module and car harness and the smart top box plugs in between.

Other great features of the smart top are it's customisable with the supplied usb adapter I have mine set to completely drop the windows when dropping the roof also set to one touch the buttons inside the car so I no longer have to keep my finger on the button to operate the roof and I've set it to continuously flash the indicators while the roof is operating off the remote key which you just press either the lock or unlock button there times and lastly I've also set it so I can operate the roof up and down up to 25mph which is a cool feature I like to use.

You make it sound so easy

It really is, even getting to the roof module is a doodle as it's behind a little plastic trim behind the passenger seat that just pop out and it come with a link to a video of how to install as well as written instructions with pictures, I reckon it probably took literally 3 mins for me to hook it up

Really? I had a right load of trouble trying to fit mine. I struggled with space for the new loom and getting the two connectors plugged in to it, especially the smaller of the too. I eventually gave up on it.

Have you got you got the extra speaker option or like I have the pocket behind the seat, It was tight but with some gentle negotiation the roof module went back into it's original place and the new bit of loom went through to where the pocket hole is where the new smart top box is stuck?

My friend and me took his drone out for a little flight and recorded this

He sat in the passenger seat and followed me to the road a few minutes from where we took off.

Great bits of kit.

I know when you get the hang and confidence flying these things there insane with a 7km range and 27 minuets flight time and in sport mode they travel up to 50mph it has obstacle avoidance automatic return to home but the most impressive thing is the 4K camera on a little 3 axis gimbal that and the features it pack.

It also folds up and fits in a big pocket....

You can buy the drone as a base package for about £1000 or the package I bought 2 of the mavic pro combo (fly More) so loads of extras inc 2 spare batteries more props a case that holds everything and a few more bits for £1359

Here's another video I made just before I made the one on the Z4 roof it's taken from 110 meters up above my house, I cant believe how smooth it is.

Wind was around 6mph at ground level

At around 1.40 in I hit the short cut button to shoot straight down birds eye view above my house:

Did you actually go to the smart top website to buy the module?

I bought it from the UK importer, I went back onto there site to copy a link and I must have gotten lucky because it was on offer and I only paid £192 Inc vat delivered it's still on offer but it's gone up.

Here's a link to the place I bought it from:
