Wanted - Sound Generator E85

I've got one from a 3.0 si. Not sure if it's same as early pre facelift 3.0.
I'm sure someone will know.

Pity, I thought there would be loads out there, with multiple Zeds being broken, but maybe they are as scarce as offside front wings in Maldives Blue! Perhaps I should have bought a Unicorn, could probably get spares for one of those!

Thanks for the heads-up Usel, after a 400 mile round trip today, the wing, drivers door and sound generator are now in my garage awaiting fitting! Couple of parking dents to sort out, anyone know a good dent guy in Devon?

Just fit the sound generator and take out the foam at the bulkhead end.
You'll soon forget all about the dents.
BTW, I can't remember the exact details but I think you have to use the existing connecting part between the the inlet pipe and the elbow section as the 3.0 version is the wrong diameter? Or something like that. It was a while ago. :roll:

Fitted the sound generator today. It sounds great! I tried it with both sponges out, but think it's a bit too loud, so have gone with the small one in, and the big one out. Sounds just right! Just looking for an excuse to drive it now. May take the long way to work tomorrow...

In other news, I had a weird feeling in the brake pedal, pulsating like ABS, and now the ABS, brake and tyre pressure warning lights are on. Suspecting a speed sensor, I managed to pick up a C110 scanner on marketplace for a tenner, and it appears that I have a front right, and rear right speed sensor fault. So looking for a pair of those now. That's the next job on the list...

I'm glad you managed to get all the bits you needed from one place :thumbsup:

That was a long trip but when you've been looking for Maldive parts for a long time you just have to go and get them wherever!
 
Indeed! It was a pity that one of the Z4M wheels that were on the car was smashed up, otherwise I may have come away with a set of those as well! Although my "van" was an Audi A3 convertible, and it was a tight fit to get a wing, door and 4 toolboxes in as it was! Probably no room for 4 wheels as well. :(

They're some sort of CSL Reps on the car with some Daisies in the photos. Out of interest did you see what sizes they were?

Just wondering for my 3 Series really as I'm only down the road from there!
 
No I didn't sorry. They only had 3 as well as one is smashed up. The Daisy's are the same as mine, but with Winter Tyres. Looks like a full set.
